VP of Sales

Summary:

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated VP of Sales to aggressively push our products to market. You will be responsible for developing and executing a sales plan and building and managing our sales team. You will be working with our manufactuing, marketing, and finance teams to set sales targets, and have an active role in developing the messaging and materials required to close deals. You will be targeting and winning over accounts across North America. You will have direct input into the product development process, communicating customer feedback and insight that will shape our current and future offerings in this emerging technology space.

Description of role and tasks:

  • Developing an agressive sales plan to take our product to market
  • Identifying, pursing and closing potential channel partnerships
  • Hiring and managing a sales team to execute your sales plan
  • Managing all aspects of deal flow from introduction to delivery and beyond
  • Working with the leaders of our marketing, finance and manufacturing teams to set targets and timelines
  • Collecting feedback and insights from consumers and communicating them to the product development team
  • Managing SalesForce CRM solution, documenting sales activities
  • Working with marketing team to develop sales materials & collateral

Qualities and experience:

  • Extensive experience selling into retail channels, with a focus on consumer electronics
  • Understanding of customers and markets
  • A strong network of contacts in specialty and big box retailers
  • Experience with new product introductions
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM software
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and insight
  • Self-directed & motivated performer
  • Strong track record of developing channels
