The founders and management come from places like RIM and X-box have given TED talks, lectured at MIT, and are considered to be tech's best and brightest. We are completing our next funding round and on a tight courst to bring a phenomenal new product to market in  2013.

You will have held an executive or founder position in a SME or start-up that has either exited successfully or is doing extremely well currently as a direct result of You. You have deep experience with operations, financing, management,  and business development. Ideally, you've done all this in a hardware business and understand manufacturing, inventory and the vagaries of retail.

Description of role and tasks:

  • You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and financials of the company
  • Responsible for the bottom line and ensuring financial health of the company
  • Managing operations and cash flow of an consumer product company
  • Supporting investment and investor management
  • Implementing HR strategy and best practices around corporate culture
  • Ensure best practices in accounting meticulously followed
  • Financial Modelling
  • Build and manage teams
  • Managaing the balance of manufacturing, inventory, cash flow and sales
  • Strategizing and implementing the growth of the company

 

Qualities and experience:

  • Experience with hardware manufacturing and distribution a must.
  • Previous experience as CEO/CFO/COO
  • Vital to driving the operational and financial health of previous business
  • Successfully raised or closely supported the raise of venture capital in excess of $3M
  • MBA preferred but not required
  • Intimate knowledge of financials, complex modeling and revenue projections
  • Phenomenal business acumen
  • Driven self-starter
  • Negotiating skills to manage costs and contracts around legal, accounting, mfg
  • Experience with both software and hardware businesses a plus
  • Expereince with consumer product businesses a plus
